Episode Review: Go-Busters 24 & 25

For the sake of time(mostly my time), I'm going to combine 24 and 25 'cause they weren't too crazy important and I'm trying to get caught up as fast as possible.

Episode 24
So, this episode begins with Ryuji and Yoko wondering where Hiromu went with Nick.  Gorisaki then gives them a pamphlet for a summer festival which Nick dropped.  When they arrive they find Hiromu dressed like a clown again 'cause he's helping his high school performer club friends who somehow don't know he's a Go-Buster.  Soon after, a Metaroid starts attacking, and they are about to leave when Hiromu's middle-school teacher shows up, so Ryuji and Yoko go alone and meet up with Jin and J to fight the CottonCandyroid, who can spin up enetron like cotton candy.  After they learn that Enter is attacking festivals for some reason, they try to cancel the one Hiromu's at, but his teacher doesn't want to cause she's weird and friendship and she wants this to be her last performance before leaving the country. When the Metaroid shows up, Blue and Yellow fight it while Hiromu saves his teacher from the Megazord while Go-Buster Beet is fighting it.  Red then joins them in Ace, and Blue uses the Metaroids own attack against him and destroys it. Ace then uses SJ-05 to destroy the Megazord.  Hiromu reveals to his teacher that he saved her, and the festival begins.

So, not a great episode, but it built up on Hiromu who we don't know that much about.  It had some neat fight scenes, and I thought the Metaroinds powers were pretty cool.

Episode 25
Wooooooo Scary monsters!  This begins with Jin telling Ghost stories on the roof to everyone except Ryuji, who is asking Kurorin about the origins of Jin's avatar.  The next day a metaroid(I think he's a candle) appears, and the three go out to fight it.  He tricks the Go-Busters into looking at his flame, and they fall asleep and start having nightmares(giant chicken, zombies, and the chick from Jin;s story).  Jin and J show up as he's leaving, and shoot his flame out which cancels the nightmares.  They learn that whatever happens in the dream happens to you in real life(Hiromu's frozen and Ryuji has a zombie bite on his arm). Knowing this Ryuji tries to talk to Jin about his avatar, but Jin just tells him to be strong enough to get into subspace.  They soon learn that the metaroid is trying to use television to broadcast his flame, so they go to the station, and then Escape show up, and Blue fights her thinking he might get answers, to no avail.  The megazord arrives and Cheetah fights the magnet states.  Yellow finishes the megazord, and Buster Hercules finishes off the megazord.  Ryuji then accepts that the people trapped in subspace may have lost their physical forms, and Hiromu says that they will discover the truth.

This was a pretty good episode, and I can;t wait to figure out about the people in subspace.

Episode Review: Kamen Rider Fourze 46

All right, where were we.  So Sagittarius shows up and beats the crap out of Fourze and Meteor, and turns towards Pisces who intends to fight Gamou.  Gamou is like whatever bitch, and leaves.  After Kengo passes out for some reason, he sees himself with some weird switch and we hear a crying baby.  At kengo's hourse, Yuki makes him some not space related food, and then he goes to check out that sweet flash drive.  Meanwhile in the Rabbit Hatch, Libra says that their only choice is to break in to Gamou's office and steal the other switches, and Oshugi is freaking out that Sonada was Scorpio.

At Gamou's office (lol Wikipedia says lair), Libra, Gentarou, and Ryusei enter the eggchair room and are attacked by a Gemini clone.  Libra sacrifices himself so that the two riders can escape, but they are both immediately attacked by two Leo Dustards which they defeat with the best use for the magnet switches ever.
Ran runs away to confront Leo, who kidnapped her best friend, at the beach.  Upon arrival her switch turns from blue to red which signifies that it is finally mature (apparently switches have to go through puberty before they can be used).  They start fighting, but Fourze shows up, but it's not the real Fourze, it's really Libra, who turned out to be a lying dick the whole time (love him).  So he steals the switch from Ran, and Gentarou transforms and fights Libra while Meteor fights Leo.   Then Sagittarius shows up, kicks the two riders asses and then gathers the twelve switches to transport himself, but then Kengo arrives and is like "Hey he has no defensive power when he's doing that shit." So Fourze goes Cosmic and tries to limit break Sagittarius, but Libra jumps in the way and dies.  Then Kengo glows and cancels the horoscope ritual thing, and the two Zodiarts leave as the weird switch from before appears from Kengo's body.

So this episode was absolutely fantastic.  I thought it was very well written. Libra's "betrayal" was amazing, and it cancelled out the rushed feeling from the last episode.  All in all, this is probably my favorite episode of the show.  Despite staring to get really good, Fourze took way too long to start getting good.  3 episodes to the end is not the best place to start.

News: Super Sentai 2013

As some of you may already know it has been confirmed that the trademark for the 37th Sentai team has been released.  The next sentai team will be Jyuden Sentai Kyoryuger.  This translates to Electric Beast Sentai Kyoryuger (Kyoryu = Dinosaur).  So we're going to have some type of dinosaur themed Sentai as soon as Go-Busters ends in early 2013.

Personally, I enjoy the idea of a new dino-themed sentai.  I do like dinosaurs, and I can;t wait to see which ones they choose to represent.  In my opinion, having a tyrannosaurus, triceratops, and pterodactyl again would be a little stale, and I think they might be able to choose something different this time.  That being said,  anyone who believes this is a throwback to MMPR is stupid.  If  Kyoryuger isn't a typical sentai formula, and it does stuff differently like Go-Busters, I will be extremely happy.  I think most likely the season will start off with a team of 5 ranger.

Enough of my ramblings for now, and yes I will be trying to get back on track with the summaries soon.  If you have any interesting thoughts on what they could do for this season, please leave them in the comments, I would love to read them.
